  Question amazon plan selectio

Hi all

I am baffled why would anyone choose the classic payment plan that pays 4%

The performance plan starts at 5% and goes up

I must be missing the obvious

Not sure.

I tried switching from classic to performance part way through a quarter and found classic paid more - I quickly switched back!

I think the £7 commission limit on electronics only applies to the performance plan, so if you sell a lot of LCD TV's at £1000 the classic plan paying a flat rate of 4% would pay £40 per unit instead of £7 per unit on the performance plan.

I think you can change your fee plan just before the payment date, so you could work out which plan was best for you at the end of the month.

You can change your plan every 24 hours - so I normally change it 5-7 days before the end of the quarter - see what the difference is the following day - then change back immediately if necessary!

Shame they don't automatically put you on the best plan a bit like BT do with phone plans.

The £7 cap has been there quite a while now. It didn't go down too well when it was introduced!

Electronics cap: the referral fee payable on any Electronics Product under the Performance Fee Structure is limited to a maximum of £7.00 per Electronics Product.
