I didn't think you've ever been able to do that with ebay.
Hi Guys,
I have quite a high-profile website and I have been refering hundreds of links to eBay every day! - This was earning me quite a substantial affiliate income from eBay.
Over that last 3 years I have been adding the odd affiliate links to my own ebay auctions to promote my other items for sale.
eBay had no problem with this until they changed their rules on 18th September and then they have suddenly closed my account with no warning or discussion.
Remember, they have only just changed their rules and are making a problem of something done before their rules changed.
They owe me a lot of money and they have said that I will not be able to re-instate my account.
During a recent review, we have found that you are linking to your own auctions (or those with whom you are affiliated) or using affiliate links on an eBay hosted page.
This is a violation of the eBay Partner Network terms and conditions (section (b)(ii)). Therefore, we are terminating you from the affiliate program and reversing 100% of your eBay commissions. You are not allowed to rejoin the eBay program. As stated in the eBay Advertiser Terms and Conditions section (b) (ii), these practices are prohibited. (b) Prohibited Promotional Methods ii)All eBay Programs disallow Promotional Content placed on the eBay website itself (for example, in your listings, your "About Me" page, your store or the eBay message boards).
Therefore I am still sending numerous links per day and I am no longer an active eBay affiliate.
We rely on this income as 'bread & butter'... This has come as a serious blow to us!
Has anyone else had this problem? - and what can I do to correct it?
Yup don't think you've ever been allowed to use your affiliate links on eBay pages.
It was only within the last few months that affiliates were allowed to link to their own auctions from their own website.
There were a few loopholes in this program which mean't people could potentially earn hand over fist.
Even though the program has been revised and changed hands, I still think its amazing how a company like ebay haven't covered all the cracks.
I'm sure quite a few people on here have made a killing ( and some ) on this program over the years.
They've gotten all AdSense on many users. A whole load of affiliates were expired early this month, about 300 I think, for not sending engagaed enough traffic. Over at the eBay powered Build A Niche Store forum, the paranoia is about getting kicked out of eBay is at an all time high. So far though, from what I've deduced, those that have been kicked have all been doing some pretty naughty things, and some grey area stuff. It pays to be squeaky clean on any sites you use EPN on.
Adding your af links on eBay for eBay has always been a no no and so it should be, but with that experiance, have you got a friend you could teach the 'ropes' to? Maybe they could reg an account and in return you could offer to put their links where all your 'legit' links are for a small commission in return?
As for adsense - I am peed off with them - I placed 123search adsense stuff on my site as 123 (valueclick) said they were official redistributers of adsense ads - they banned me in a week for having diferrent code on the site - lost loads a year and no reasoning with them.

I agree, but for UK affiliates, I was never aware that it was not allowed.
You can understand why they might not like affiliates to do this; but to be honest, you would think they would at least give you a warning before just simply deleting your account.
Okay, however, I have recieved what seems to be a promising PM from someone...
I can't really tell anyone what the PM specifically says, but it does ask me for my eBay affiliate info...
Now, I don't want to divulge my info to this user, can someone tell me who R.O.EYE are please?
It's okay, I've worked out who they are.
They are the company who effectively look after eBay's affiliate program!
Looking up!
Right OK,
So it's Wednesday and I've heard nothing at all from R.O.EYE at all. I have chased them up with 2 emails but nothing.
Has anyone got any advice on what exactly I can do about this to get my account back.?
Hi Craig,
Apologies for the delayed reply. My colleague has forwarded me your PM and I will look into your situation this morning. If you have any further issues please feel free to contact me directly on the details below.
Many thanks
Chris

Funnily enough as a side note - Im UK based, but some bizarre reason I'm accepted on every single Ebay region apart from ebay.co.uk (UK)
It's a mad mad world.

Hey everyone,
Just an update on this...
I didn;t manage to get my origional account back, but R.O.EYE did authorise me to setup a new account - I'm back to earning my original commission rate.
Happy days!!
