Lots of bad news about Dell in recent months.

Coupled with the fact that Dell Ireland affiliates haven't been paid for 5 months should I be worried?

And yes, I did ask TD a month ago and they said "No worries .. expect money by Christmas".

Still no money so now I'm asking fellow affiliates - should I be worried?

    Send them an invoice asap.

5 months? Your loss. TD doesn't guarantee non paying merchants. Get yourself creditor listed as the New Year is a favourite time for "restructuring" and with international firms it is not uncommon for activity in one country to be taken over by the corporate structure in another with detrimental impact to creditors in the originating country as the Credit is not transferred over but is declared as a loss if the Eire arm goes insolvent.

    Hi John,

The current situation with DELL is not ideal. We have assurances from DELL that all outstanding publisher commission will be paid. There has been a delay but it is a delay rather than non-payment. TradeDoubler has introduced a prepayment model to ensure that publishers get paid on time. Unfortunately the DELL account was set up years before the prepayment model method went live. Thank you for your patience.

    Hi there,

I agree the recession has led to lots of bad news lately, DELL are not immune to this. However, I would like to clearly state that DELL Ireland affiliate have been paid. Payments were issued in January 2009 (which was very close to my Christmas estimate).

You should not be worried. Please email your "username" to Publisher Support and I will review your account/payment activity.

    Thanks,
