only if you meet the strict criteria for being an exempt supplier.
this includes:
1. that claims generation is incidental to your main business purpose
2. that any such claims generated are less than 25 per quarter.
Many peopke ignore point 1 to their peril. If you actively market for PI claims in any way ( eg internet, advertising or affiliate route ) then the MOJ hold the view that this is not incidental to your main business purpose ( whether you use your main business name or not ) and that you therefore need to be regulated.
Exempt status is only really meant for those people that come across the odd claim here and there whilst carrying out their normal business ( eg Postmaster is asked by customer if he knows a good solicitor to deal with a pI CLAIM ....ETC ) .
NOT....Businessman X in one trade decides to start a claims business on the side and thinks he can remain under the radar because he doesnt generate many claims!
Much safer to become an agent of an established MOJ authorised CMC.
PM me if this is of interest to you or you need to chat about this issue generally.
