Am I really stupid? I really struggle to find my way around linkshare.

I am trying to fetch a datafeed. I have been told that I can fetch it using the url: ftp://yourusernamehere:yourpasswordh...YYYY_mp.txt.gz

where XXXXX is my Linkshare account number, YYYYYYY is the merchant number. OK, fair enough that sounds simple. I have managed to find the merchant number but don't know where to find my linkshare account number. I can see a site ID - is that it?

Thanks Darren but that doesn't help me as I am trying to set a cron job to fetch the feed so require the url

All I need to find out is my account id - as I mentioned I have seen site id but do not know if that is the same thing.

Thanks Darren. Early morning? I've been working for 6 hours!!

As a side note, I followed the link you gave. It says you can download it using any ftp client, but as far as I can see you can't. I used cuteFTP and there are a number of files there, but they all end in .lmp - no datafeed there that you can just download.

So I ran dos - got to enter the file name that I thought it would be and host cut me off! Takes far too long. System might take getting used to but "a little" doesn't come into that equation, and a real pain as opposed to other networks that you can easily just click and download from the admin panel.

can anyone confirm if the link format below is correct or even post an example as i am having no luck , this has to be the most complicated way to get a datafeed.

would appreciate any help from anyone that already downloads these feeds
    cheers

You're almost there, you just have the account number and merchant number round the wrong way - merchant number is first.

Yes, it took me a long time to work it out! Don't forget you have to apply for the feed first and then wait for approval
