Hi,
What are the best voucher codes site to promote my website on?
What sort of fees do they charge?
Thanks

Alternatively run an inhouse program, supplying creatives and tracking links and pay 10% commission on any referred sales.
So there's no initial outlay to the code site up front.

I dont careMVC has done what the hell it wants for ages. Networks have gently slapped him across the wrists, but keep taking their margin. My views are simple Mark Pearson and MVC have abused merchants and tried to find every loop hole possible to keep taking the money, as can be seen by the amount of posts just on this forum.
The longer MVC keeps finding loopholes to abuse, then every other affiliate in this voucher code space gets tarred with the same brush. So until the day he comes out and attempts to be squeaky squeaky clean then I will dig at him in public. My agenda is simple:
if because of my posts some merchants question working with him then great.
My advice to any merchant who is working with MVC or thinking of doing it, is to just read the threads on this forum about how they work and then decide.
If anyone wants to talk to me then PM me.

If what Doug says is true, then I am right behind him. if someone offers a public service and does in fact do so unethically, then people should have the right to express their issues publically (providing they can substanciate them, is done diplomatically and with positive intent on seeking improvements for the service users) and those at the helm of such services should be held to account publically.
Cheers Doug
Dare I say I agree with Doug! :scared

A friend of mine was cold called by MVC last week offering a listing on MVC for £400.
We're currently offering free listings for merchants without affiliate programs looking to offer our visitors discount codes or vouchers in exchange for an inbound link.
Once listed you can login and add/edit/delete your own codes and promos, subject to editorial review.
We've offering this free service because there are a lot of smaller merchants out there without affiliate programs with codes our visitors may find useful and our aim is to provide our visitors with the widest possible choice of codes.

Nice idea Joe...may just have to copy that one
On a serious note, Joe is trying to offer a merchant a good service without abusing them.

A user shows up for the first time and gets a fist in the face - how is that going to help the dialog on a public forum?
I am not defending MVC's practices, I'm defending their right to be treated with less aggressiveness. There are issues and they need to be discussed publicly with both sides making themselves heard. Unless we do not want to hear the other side, so we resolve in shutting the door to them.

Maybe someone needs to tell merchants the truth then in public, as the fannying around in private by the networks to MVC is not working.
Mark can defend everyone of his actions, there is a forum here where he can do it. He can even come to an IAB meeting and defend them. I don't believe he has ever done either. Until he does then he will have to take the abuse.
When this industry gets fully regulated, as it will, people will look back and be astonished at what MVC got upto with the full understanding of networks and agencies.
Networks and agencies have a role to help inform the merchants what is happening, even if it hurts there pockets in the short term. I believe that most nw's and affiliate managers at merchants don't want to remove one of their best performing affiliates as it will make them look bad.
Aswell as being a large affiliate we are also a large merchant and as a merchant we have refused to work with MVC, because I believe he is unethical in his behaviour....have some proof:
carrentals.co.uk discount codes - Google Search
carrentals.co.uk has never offered discount codes and in the past 2 years has never worked with MVC. MVC until 3 months ago was sending all that traffic to budget.co.uk, until I made it public on this forum.
sunshine.co.uk discount codes - Google Search
sunshine.co.uk have never offered discount codes
This is an evolving industry and many people here, myself included have done things that we thought were ok, but others disagreed. But MVC are constantly being caught out doing "funny things".
All I ever asked Mark to do is not take the p**s as ultimately his actions will effect the perception of this industry going forward to the detriment of everyone.
