I have just launched a new clothes swapping website, which is free to swap, buy and sell second hand and vintage clothes.

I would grateful for any feedback/ suggestions. Also I am not completely decided on how to monetise it yet, as it is free to use. Any ideas suggestions would be very welcome

The site is nice and easy to use.

I have not got any more suggestions on the site, as it is perfect.

About how to monetise, It would be real hard with the site.

You could not charge for the service just yet.

I would stick to banners etc for revenue at the moment.

You do not have to monetise every site, just use it to promote your other sites. You will be amazed at how many people will follow your recommendations.

I hadn't tried MSE yet, so far I have been concentrating on the eco fashion, fashion and eco blogs and websites. Thanks for the idea will definitely give this a go.

I hadn't though of just using it to promote my other sites, good idea to get me started. I have added a few affiliate banners but not convinced this will get me many sales, maybe I will also try linking to some affiliate products as this works well on my other sites.

Apart from the blog section most of the pages seem to have the exact same title and meta description which is far from ideal from an SEO point of view - make each one unique and relevent to the page.

The design isn't bad but it could be improved - the background graphic looks rough, something about the logo doesn't look right - might be the background colour or the reflection.

Quite a lot of redundant space on the home page, maybe it could be filled with a couple of paragraphs of content and/or maybe some graphic links to the mens, womens, childrens categories?

People post about our site all the time, and well "Mr Lewis" thinks he is so tuff and well deletes them

How is the site going Designer?

Site is going well in terms or advertising sales and people signing up, but still try to get more stuff listed. I am half way up the first page of google for my main keyword.

The content is provided by the listings so the more the better. I am looking at trying to publicise through some clothes swapping parties and offline events. and make a concerted PR effort in the Autumn.

Thank you for your feedback. Each of the pages for the products listed should have different titles, metatag keywords, as well as having the main keyword they should have the product title, make etc.

I will be planning a phase 2 with the developers soon so will bare your comments in mind.
