    Hi All,

Having constantly harrassed me by telephone in November 2008 I cautiously parted with £200+VAT for a "Kitilink" advert on Lycos for a popular keyword.

After 2 months I noticed no traffic and no ad. I queried this with the company and they tried to drag me into the litigation case they had with Lycos and refused to refund (or maybe in 2 years after the outcome of the Litigation case).

They hardly ever answer emails (at least a dozen unanswered) and they only answered a telephone once after several half hour calls on hold.

Just thought I would save anyone else the hassles!

Also avoid anyone based in Lancaster offering SEO type services as virtually all are affiliated with two companies - neither of which you really want to bother with.

As for the Lancashire lot, they are a bit full of themselves looking at their other projects such as their "Searchers" search engine "Searchers has been independently verified as one of the fastest growing UK based search engines." So that's why I've never heard of it considering it was created in 2003...?

Another bunch of wannabies by sounds of things.

Sounds a bit like ufindus and they are based in Lancaster too. Promises of mega hits and nothing happens. Know pepole who used them for 3 years and never got an enquiry.
    Tip of the week.
If you have signed up for this company , you will be legally tied up to them for 12 months with a threat of court action, if you try to cancel. When coming to renewal of the contract send a cancellation request by special delivery and ring to see if it has been received, otherwise you will be stuck on the merry-go-round. You will need to send this letter about 2-3 months before renewal

I used to get loads of sales calls from this company- it got so bad that I ended up just hanging up on them as soon as I heard where they were calling from. Really irritating.

Interesting to hear that they weren't even selling anything worthwhile in the first place!

I have had 2 emails from adrac this week alone. trying to sell advertising space ( wait for it ) on the UK's fastest growing Search Engine searchers.co.uk :tup

searchers has the same name server as adrac.

    Ok Confession time:

Adrac contacted me a few years ago when i had just setup sunlight bingo and asked me if I was interested in the opportunity of a life time and to purchase some very cheap advertising space on a big major player in the search engines ( yes that right Lycos.co.uk) for a keyword that i now know doesnt even get a look in on google.

they got me near christmas time for £600 and at the time that was about a month commission from the site. it was a lot of money for me to part with. but after lots of phone calls they assured me that there was lots of other bingo traffic customers that we're already seeing a very good roi.

the part that pees me off the most is that they knew that the traffic they was selling was non existant. ( I just wished i knew then what i know now) still isnt much
They dangled that big carrot infront of my face and I took it.

do a search on google.co.uk for the keyword: adrac searchers

If I had recieved just 1p for every phone call I made to adrac asking for my money back just to be told that the person I needed to speak to was currently taking a dump, or on holiday, or ill. I would have made a lot more money back then the £600 I gave them.

after them emailing me and asking if they could contact me I said yes ok. once they phoned me up I explained to them about the unresolved issue I had with them and how I sort of gave up on pursuing them for my money back .

I explained that there email had brought back bad memories for me and that I would love to have a quick chat with the boss or someone in a higher authority.

Conveniently they was in a meeting or unavailable on the 3 seperate times I phoned them. Each time they took my phone number and promised that the person I need to speak to would phone me back, Im still waiting. If I did ever get the money back I would donate it all to charity.

Your not the only one who's been duped on the whole "We are the best search engine in the word give us some cash" scam! Just run a search for "Yell.com are s-h-i-t-e" to find out how many forum posts and blogs are taken up with every man who spent £1000's on adverts that would never get any traffic.

I once spent £1000 on adverts for a courier company and got 1 call for the entire year. That was on Yell.com!

Still, you know now :tup. Google organic free adverts... mmmmmmm top 10
