Worth paying for submitting to this UK directory?

Wondering if this directory is worth submitting to? Submission fee is a hefty $40.00, although that is a one-off fee. Links open in a new window, which I don't like.

It only has an Alexa Ranking of 132,821, though this is slowly increasing.

15,100 sites in Google with the term "business-directories-uk.co.uk/" but most seem to be worthless search results.

Is there any other way of determining traffic or whether its worth paying to be listed?

Tell them you are interested but want to see some stats first, although if I was paying for inclusion I would want to be above any google ads so personally I wouldn't bother.
