Google AdSense is definitely worth a go. I couldn't comment on relative earnings to Overture, because I don't use Overture yet, so let me know when you find out!

There's no harm in running them both but pay attn to where you put them. Someone posted a position heatmap in the main forum a few days ago.

Personally, I would only use Google AdWords.

But, really, it's up to you what you do. You might be a lot
more successful with Overture. Whatever people say here,
you have to do it and find out for yourself.

I've been using both for about a year and what I'd recommend is as follows:

Use adwords to start with as it's quicker to experiment with, and has lower minimum bids. When you find terms with an acceptable ROI and you're happy that your text ad is as good as it can be, then roll it out to Overture and eSpotting.

It'll take a few weeks to find and test different search terms, and different text ads to find out what works, but this is probably the lowest risk method.

I tried AdWords and spent around three weeks optimising my keywords. In the end I gave up as the ROI I was getting was too low for me to continue.

Some merchants seem to bid unustainably high prices for their clicks.

I also tried Overture and found this cheaper. Still, the ROI wasn't that great.

This is just my experience, in other markets things may be better.

I've found much the same thing, E-spotting seems less competitive as fewer merchants can be bothered with it. Problem with both is that compared with Google, the volume's just not there.

Yea, try them all is definately a good idea. It's all about diversifying isn't it.

    Hi there,
I'm a complete newbie to all of this so what I've got to offer is proberbly of little or no value but here goes.
I started using adwords to promote 2 weeks ago. Lots of clicks but still no banana! So far though, the cost is manageable so not a major deal (yet).
I looked at overture and to be frank, as I don't have a site, It doesn't seem to be viable. It seems to cost too much.
In your case I'd be looking at what cash you've got put aside for promotion and advertising and let that dictate which ppc system you use. If all else fails one thing I learnt from doing direct sales years ago is this, don't pay out more than you'll get paid cos you'll be paying to work!good luck with it and hope to hear more.
