my head hurts from trying to find a simple newsletter programme.

I just need something that has a simple, configurable form to collect the email addresses and then will allow me to send simple newsletters (a paragraph, a link and maybe an image or 2) to everyone at the press of a button.

Tried Opt In Pro, but much too involved for me, don't want to start campaigns etc. or schedule follow ups.

Nice and Simple is the keyphrase. - so no php, mysqul scripts etc

(yep seen the spelling mistake - wonder what a Newl Setter does )

Sounds like some kind of dog? In my imagination its a kind of russet colour. Perhaps I need to get more sleep?!

Sorry, don't know the answer to the other question, but I'd be interested too as I've a new site I'd like to try and build a mailing list for.

    Hi,

HotScripts can alawys offer a good list of useful scripts:
    http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Script...List_Managers/ .

    I personally recommend ListMessenger: http://www.listmessenger.com/ .
There is a free and paid version. I had used for years and I must say this is
    great script.

Looks good but can it cope with 40,000 subscribers, and how long would it take to send them.
I have used a few different mailing systems, but none of them seem to be able to send email quickly and easily.
I don't want to do anything flash just simple text / html ones.

All the ones I use clog up my connection and then my ISP complain I am spamming!

I have therefore given up sending mailings out.

I want a solution which is cheapish as I don't send many emails.

To be honest Purple, I don't use them to send emails (we send our own mailings out) but when we used them for sending emails we never had any probs with them and they sent out fairly quicky (you can also monitor the progress of your send on the site).
It isn't a free solution unlike getting your own script etc in place, but never the less is a simple solution.

Hope this is of some help,

    Mark.
