Help - Traffic avoids my website

mm - interesting title

Anyway i've been redesiging less than full price recently as some of you may or may not know (i posted this in the affiliate lounge last week

) but i'm having a little trouble generating any traffic to the site. I am trying ppc but with little to no luck, i've got a few incoming links but as i've read they are all on one page so they may not be as helpful as I first thought.

So is there anything i can do? (Meta tags being added as i speak

)

I think the problem is that your site is nice enough to look at but that's it - for me at least it lacks that Wow! factor either in looks or in content.

You need to take a step back and think 'what is it that makes my site different to 100s of other sites already on the net' - once you've got the answer to that you may be on to something.

If you spend five minutes thinking and can't really think of anything, you've got your answer too - time to move on to something else - your tellytickets site for instance - I like that one, it's doing something pretty unique, whereas your discount directory isn't, it's just being a 'me too'.

drivetowin has already hit the nail on the head - the content, or rather the lack of it. If you had lots of unique content around the pages then you'd start ranking for and getting traffic from related terms in SEs, but at the moment, there's nothing there for the spiders to munch on and digest. All the links in the world won't help if it's content light.
