Alternative to google news alerts

I have been using google news alerts to keep me up to date with news in some of my verticals. Does anyone else provide a free service like this, do google or any of the news aggregators offer something like this. I want something more UK news centric

If you go into the advanced settings you can specify the location of the news you want. Then obviously save that as an alert.

I think the command is something like location:uk so news about me would be:

"lee mccoy" location:uk

Well there are many who provide news alerts. Try the BBC's and SKY's news alert services. IMO they are the best. You can visit their URL at-
