    Hi Guys

I am very very new to this affiliate game and was wondering if somewhere here would mind checking out my website and giving me some constructive criticism please? I'm working on SEO at the moment (although to be honest I dont really understand it a great deal). I have articles written for my site and submitted them on lots of directories etc. I was with Adsense but I thought I'd concentrate on getting more traffic there first so I've taken that off for now - not sure if thats a good or bad idea? I've replaced Adsense with other affiliate banners. I am using Adwords too but what I really struggle with is 'tag's & 'keywords' etc. Its all a bit of another language to me at the moment and I'm struggling with getting traffic.

Anyway if someone could take a look I would very much appreciate it

    Take care all

I'd say in the primary function of the site (for users) is to show which shops will deliver to them when they live outside of the UK - well you need to display which countries they do cover. Or even better let the user select their new home country (and have the site remember it) and then show results based solely on that. It will be a lot more useful that way I think?

    Hi

Thanks very much for the feedback. It is very much appreciated. All of the shops listed deliver worldwide though so I'm not really sure how I could break it down any further than I already have. I've only chosen UK based companies which deliver worldwide.

    Got anymore feedback please?

    Thanks again

Hi there. Good idea you have there!

My constructive feedback would be that the site lacks professionalism in its design.

There is some severe colour clash, centred text and overall it looks a tiny bit 'amateurish'. (that's not me be being rude, just being honest).

However, i have seen FAR worse websites make LOTS of money for their owners so best of luck with it all!

I like the idea, and all the elements seem to be there, but like mentioned in one of the other posts the design and layout need some tweaks.

The orange titles on the main page are hard to read, the same seems to be true with the white text in the descriptions.

The company descriptions need to be more to the point. Key facts like what they supply maybe in a bullet point format, possably followed up with the more 'opinion' based stuff at the end. Try keep it fairly brief though because people don't like reading big blocks of text.
I think it might look better if you had the description to one side of the logo/link too, eg. Logo on the left with description alongside. This would also mean you fit more than 2 on each page without scrolling.

    Good luck with the site.

    A suggestion about your domain/hosting.

If your prime target is Aus/NZ perhaps it may be worth getting a .au domain name and Australian hosting. (although this may be a bit more expensive).

It might be better to move your site away from homestead anyway but that's just a personal preference.

One thing I noticed was the lack of "Big" high street names eg Woolworths C&A, New Look, Next, M&S etc but that may be because they either have a worldwide presence or don't deliver to Oz.(I guess you have researched that).
They came for my 404 and I said nothing

When i tried to register my site as a .com.au (Australia domain) I was declined because I did not have an australia address or ABN (australian business number).

If only they prevented people from registratering .co.uk's on the same ground.

I tried with planetDomains.com. It may be different elsewhere.

    GOod luck with the site.

Looks a lot better than my first site was an affiliate.

    Cheers

Thanks for that Stu. I have to agree with you so dont worry about upsetting me . I wasnt really sure what to do with the Home Page regarding the script etc - any suggestions?

I'll be working on the font colour change today.

    Thanks very much

According to a post on abestweb forum. anyone can apply for an ABN at the ABR website

"just go next by next. at final, u can get your ABN number, but u still need one or more hour to wait it is really activated."

I haven't tried it myself but if you need an com.au it might be worth a try.

    Brilliant......thanks for that

Next question.......like I said.......I'm new to all this so please be gentle with me

As I'm currently with Homestead.......am I able to change to another webhost provider and if so how does that work? Does it mean setting up the entire web page again?

    Thanks again

    Rach
