I have just help launch a friends website The White Teeth Company - Latest Laser Teeth Whitening Technology and becuase of small budget restraints I am submitting to free directories etc.

Many more of the better quality directories are now starting to charge so does anyone have a list or know where I can find a list of decent FREE directories?

You'd be better off trying to find a few relevant, but non-competing sites to get links from though. Most of the sites on there are riddled with PPC sites (as in Pills, Porn & Casinos) so they won't do you a lot of good.

Try some local directories and classified ad sites some of those can be quite good.

If your desire is to generate more traffic and target the top results in the search engines then you should concentrate on the site first.

Remove frames, optimise meta tags and use some alt tags.

Also
Give it time the domain is less than 6 months old.

And one other tip, don't make the mistake of discounting the paid for directories.. Some of them are worth every penny.
