Here is a big improvement for you, you can now add your own unique content to each page. To do this go to 'my merchants' > 'merchant description'

    Thanks very much mate :-)

As someone pointed out, its going to be hard work adding original content to each page, but this is optional, the rest of the hard work is pretty much done for you, if you want a unique site to do well in the search engines you are going to have to put the work in... but you will see much better results.

Someone on another thread pointed out that icodes is just a template site, yes it is, but it is a template site which in future will be able to choose from many different templates, also in this template site you can add a lot of html (add your own links, banners and formatting) and text content to make it unique enough to look very much like your own and so search engines don't treat it as a duplicate website.

You can add your own title tags and template text throughout the site, each affiliate is joined upto different merchants on different networks so if you do it right there is no reason at all your site will be a duplicate of another.

If everyone puts all the hard work in now, and start promoting your site you will be well set for those christmas sales.

Here is an example of what it looks like when you add some text and html into the 'merchant description' page.

You can now add, edit, delete keywords for searches (they are network wide
    and seperate keywords by spaces)

    'my merchants' > 'merchant keywords'

    Hi,

Do I assume right that the Google Adsense box on the site can also be changed to your own Adsense code?

And if we negotiate our own voucher code deals, they can be inserted into our own specific site without it being passed across all the other sites?

Very interested in this for my new Shopping site!!!

    Hi Mate

At the moment the google adsense cannot be replaced or removed, but at a later date you will have this option for a charge.

At the moment we need the sites to contain our adsense as we have no idea how much bandwidth the sites will use on those that are promoted heavily, the adsense just protects us from losing out on busier sites (especially those subdomains which cost less than £1 per week)... when we get enough data we may even decide to remove the adsense without a charge, it all depends on the results we see... hope you can understand our decision on this.

You can add your own exclusive codes which will only show on your site.

We will be releasing some new additions shortly such as the ability to upload merchant logos (displays network wide), upload your own logo and your own buttons (displays on your site only).

Has anyone thought of creating more targeted voucher code sites for say toys, gifts, clothes, electronics etc and just listing those merchants with codes who deal in such items.

We are seeing some pretty good search engine searches for these icodes sites (sub domains and top level) some of which belong to people who have not yet paid.. it woud be ashame to delete these sites which is why im hanging onto them for a while longer to see how they do.

Now with the facility to add keywords (which go network wide) you can take advantage of this by creating your own category navigations using the html facilities and searches.

example here.. Gift Ideas - Discount Codes, Voucher Codes and Special Offers

html example of how to add these links.

    HTML Code:
    <a href="/search/flowers.html"><b>Flowers</b></a> |

    <a href="/search/chocolates.html"><b>Chocolates</b></a> |

    <a href="/search/jewellery.html"><b>Jewellery</b></a> |

    <a href="/search/clothes+shoes+fashion+jeans+designer.html"><b>Clothing</b></a> |

    <a href="/search/cds+dvds+games.html"><b>Entertainment</b></a> |

    <a href="/search/gadgets.html"><b>Gadgets</b></a> |

    <a href="/search/toys+games.html"><b>Toys</b></a>
EDIT - Forgot to use mod re-written links for the example.. now corrected

If you want to link to a search and also display a certain merchant voucher codes like this...

(Displaying bagga menswear and display a clothing search)
Bagga Menswear Gift Ideas - Discount Codes, Voucher Codes and Special Offers

    Use this example code...

    HTML Code:
    <a href="/Bagga+Menswear/search/clothes+shoes+fashion+jeans+designer.html"><b>Clothing</b></a>
Also, if a search fetches up an irrelevant merchant, simply goto the 'merchant keywords' and remove the incorrect keword from that merchant.

We have just uploaded a forum to iCodes so any future questions, problems, suggestions, bug reporting or whatever please register and post them in there.

    iCodes.co.uk &bull; Index page

Posting in the forum will help us all, saves me time from answering the same emails over and over again, keep upto date with news and updates and eventually im hoping networks and merchants will also use it to promote their sites.

    Cheers

    Lee

Edit.. not sure what the &bull means in the link url... i can assure you it doesnt mean bull**** lol

When I made my first post that happend to me, then I realised I clicked save (as in save to drafts) instead of submit, I think the same may have happend in your case.

Check your drafts (user control panel > manage drafts), select the post and press 'submit'.. if that doesn't work ill check to see if i have done something wrong with the permission settings or something.
