How often are the codes updated? I've had a quick look through and have spotted serveral that have been changed by merchants - but not changed at your end? For example 10MIELEVC changed to 15MIELEVC but this is still on the promotions site.

    It also has this:

Comet Save up to £ 40 on latest Tefal innovative appliances WEB PRICES 31/10/2008 http://www.comet.co.uk

"WEB PRICES" is not a code

Sorry promotions.co.uk the demo is a demo with old codes. We have not updated any.

We have a realtime db that we are using for people who have the beta api, we have 2 people who are constantly updating it.

This thread is now getting confusing even im not sure which site ep90 was refering to about the incorrect codes.

Doug, I already pointed someone in the direction of your website, your reply was not necessary in this case and could have been sent to laskos via pm.

Not ranting mate, just slightly annoyed :-)

I think you are right, that the 'ep90' comment was in the wrong thread !!!
Incidentally, I believe that the xml feed would not be the live codes, I can see no mention of QUIDCO in mine, you did say that the user would need to have an icodes login to access the live codes.. Correct me if I am wrong!

I have made my site openly available for anyone who may be interested. Perhaps you should offer a prize to the affiliate who can find the most incorrect codes!

Gone are the days when this forum was an interesting read, there used to be affiliates of whom are now the 'big' ones, who wrote good, informative posts; some still write, but others probably just sit back and laugh..

    Hi Barbara

Yeah, ep90 has posted on the incorrect thread but was probably also confused.

The xml feed is live and at the moment and could be used to some degree by anyone although that example feed contains our affiliate id's, for the feed to be used correctly and efficiently the affiliates would need to register an icodes account so the feed woud be unique to them.

We are leaving the example feed available to everyone for the time being so they can test it out, but eventually the icodes publisher will need to enter the sites which are using the feeds into their admin area, so any site which is not recorded will be blocked from accessing the feed.

I removed the QUIDCO codes as soon as they were pointed out in the forum, they were in the iCodes database and so would at some point have been on your website and in the xml feed. There were 2 QUIDCO codes entered by two seperate affiliates which leads me to believe those codes at some point must have been made public as generic codes by accident.

It does appear the 'big' affiliates stick together no matter what, but as pointed out to me they all go to the same events and are infact friends, unfortunately a lot of these 'big' affiliates are also mods, merchants and work for networks so they can get away with far more than the rest of us.

I think that is a dig again

Yes I am mates with many big affiliates and people at networks, but is their anything wrong with that. All are nice, helpful and decent. Sorry am missng something? So some of my friends are succesful, honest, decent, helpful and you may call them big affiliates.

Leeky I have asked you to call me and to come to London on Tuesday, with some networks, merchants and big affiliates to discuss voucher codes, but you are not replying.

    Doug
