But I still see the issue that the raw data being entered can be rubbish and always will be. Simply the job at the merchants end will be past to a junior who really does not want to do it, hence it will always need manual intervention by the code controllers.

Apsolutely agree - normalising the feed data is an important part of what services like yours do Doug - that is why there are companies in the states that make a fortune out of just that.

Easy solution then, how about iCodes also became an affiliate network? Problem solved :tup , im sure we couldn't do a worse job than some networks (mentioning no names)

I think your missing the point, you don't have to login and update all the codes, you can just login to remove an incorrect code which will save you the time from tracking down and emailing a big percentage of discount code users.

Lee - I was just making a suggestion on how you could improve your system based on what is happening in the US and what is going to happen in the UK, not sure the sarcasm is necasary!

James, you do seem to brown nose Doug a bit dont ya (you know im only joking)

Anyway, these are the facts as you seem to think merchants and networks are not interested.

31 merchants have registered
2 merchants have an icodes site
2 merchants have a webservices account
2 Networks have regsitered
1 Network added to their linking system just so they could be included.
1 Network asked to buy into iCodes.
2 Networks asked us to come in to see them to talk about icodes
1 Network talked about icodes at the a4u expo (or so i was told)

Most other networks have emailed me to be included at some point, some networks have contact me on more than one occassion to be included.

Some merchants who have contacted me have considered moving networks just to be included in icodes

iCodes so far only offers one services 'discount codes' only a small percentage of merchant use discount codes, when we start to include special offers to distribute then more will register.
