Afternoon all,

Word Bricks: Business Directory | Find Businesses Online has been launched as a project to build the largest virtual wall.

It's a simple concept. If you have a website then you can add your site to Word Bricks: Business Directory | Find Businesses Online and gain an instant link to your site. You can choose your keyword... or have more than one keyword. The choice is yours. The cost is just £2 per brick - via PayPal.

As the wall grows the popularity of the site will grow with it - the more visitors to Word Bricks the more customers you will have selecting your brick and find your business online.

As a regular visitor to this forum we are promoting here first. We will be holding fire on promotional work to enable Affiliates4u users to utilise this project first.

As a consumer, why would I want to visit a site with loads of pictures of bricks with links on them?

Interesting but the problem i see is as it grows the number of out links will grow rapidly. How will you create the back links too offset this? Page rank 10 worked/works so well as the site made people link to them hoping they would one day be given the site. Why would people link to you?

Interesting point Henry and one we will look into as the site grows.

Essentially it is a project / experiment so we are interested to see how well it works - or maybe doesn't work! It will obviously take time and we need to spend time promoting it.

We're hoping it will have a snow-ball effect and grow and grow... if I have to start worrying about the back-links I'll be pleased! Thank you for your comments.

I think this site needs to add more categories and should lessen images.

Ha ha, I can't believe I actually did just buy a brick. I mean, it was only $1GBP, although for some reason my PayPal didn't conver it to USD so I'm not sure how much I really paid, although I assume it is around $1.60-$1.80.

Just noticed that in the Google "re-jig" we have now gone PR3.

Should be spending more time promoting this in the 2nd half of Jan 2009 to boost traffic.
