Help with writing marketing e-mail

Hello,

We would like to send out some e-mails and I would like your thoughts on their wording.

Our website is DataSafeXL - Secure and restrict access to Microsoft EXCEL Spreadsheets, VBA code

Could someone suggest some tips on the length of the e-mail and its actual contents.

If anyone could draft something up based on the content of our website, it would be much appreciated.

What is the main purpose of your emails you want to send?

I think he want to generate traffic from email's. Email marketing is the best way to generate traffic.

Where are you getting the email addresses from?

If it's from your own data capture then what did people expect to be getting from giving your their email?
Price reductions, news on new products, version updates?

If you're trying to flog your product then you need to write something interesting, concise and exicting (ICE) to entice people to come back to your site and part with some money...

Give me five reasons why I should visit your site (a) as a new customer never bought before and (b) as an existing customer.

Then pick the best three and write something about them, in point format and you're mostly there.

You've got to be an unsubscribe link in the email too - or instructions on how they can remove themself.
