  New Website - seeking affiliates

We have a new site and are seeking affiliates. This is our first cashback venture and open to suggestions. We have a cashback shopping site, membership is free and we pay 10% commission of our members cashback for life.

We also pay £7.00 when new members have reached £20.00 cashback. Our programme does not rely on cookies, so if a referral earns in 3 years time, then so do you.

  Cant find

Cant find any info on becoming an affiliate?

Am I meant to just join as a normal person, then get a link to refer others?

Also, if I do join, then me personally, never use it other than refer people, will my account remain open?

Finally - the £7 and 10% comms.... does this mean when I refer Joe - when he gets £20 payout, I get £2 (10%) and £7 (referral fee)... then any subsequent payouts Joe gets, I get a further 10%?

Is your scheme independent as well - i.e. are you doing the tracking? what stats package do you offer? when are payments made? do you intend to value your affiliates and keep in contact with them?

Having recently made a big mistake in pushing another forum members cashback programs i'd probably only consider promoting if this was via a network.

Why did you PM the answers? If you want us to join your program then it would be best if you could answer the questions within this thread for everyone to see.

I might be interested in working with you if you are going through a network also.

Sorry guys, totally agree

This is what I sent:

Thanks for your reply,

you can become an affiliate by simply becoming a member, you will then be allocated a tracking code and anyone you later refer will be allocated to you.

This is our first cashback site and totally open to suggestions. One think for sure is we are prepared to work with performing affiliates and reward them acordingley.

We monitor accounts for activity, e.g. if you never use the site but simply refer people then your account will remain open. Again we are prepared to exclude affiliate accounts from being closed at a future date.

We pay £7.00 per refferal, this will be paid once the referral has earnt £20.00 in cashback. Once this is achieved you will also have earnt 10% of that, (an additional £2.00) and an ongoing 10% of whatever they earn for life.

Our system is hard coded and does not rely on cookies, once you refer someone your code is attached to them in our database.

Again we are prepared to reward performing affiliates and if this means an increased payout e.g. 15% at a later date then we can accomodate that. Please let us know what you want (within reason)

We dont intend to use an affiliate company line AF or CJ, we are a very financially sound company and feel we are able to manage the programme ourself.

With regards to stats, we are prepared again to work with you, let me know what you need and we will accomodate it. Payments will be made monthly with minimum payout being £20.00 by cheque or paypal if you prefer.

Regards

Gareth

In the context, what does that mean?

We have set out in our terms and conditions than if an account becomes inactive for 12 months it will be closed. Inactive means a member has not logged into their account for at least 12 months and received no commission for the 12 month period.

If affiliates are worried their account may become closed then we are prepared to exclude their account from closure enabling it to remain open indefinately

Interesting.

Got one question for you: how do you intend to distinguish yourself from the numerous other UK cashback sites? Seems to be a new one launching every day. Why will this one be around in five years and not the others?

Website of the parent company linked to at bottom of Penny Mix is full of broken images and links.

Good luck with your new business.

Good question, one I always try to ask myself prior to any business venture.

We are aiming to build our business by rewarding performing members. The bottom line with affiliate marketing is money but if the survival of our site means a smaller profit margin for rewarding members then so be it. We are an established business with little 'overheads' and have a very successfull IFA business which more than supports us at present.

The world of financial services is changing at a very fast rate. Affiliate marketing is our contingency plan which we aim to build over the next 4 years.

There were some broken links in our main site, this is due to us uploading an incorrect page. As always, should have checked.
