Kris

Is there a list available of which exchanges the 8Mb free broadband is available on now?

I put in my number to find I couldn't get free broadband as BT still control my exchange - I was just looking out of curiosity but if I had been a genuine punter that would have put me off buying.

Hmm

whats with the supplying both phone number and postcode ? just postcode should be enough
I think the people that have inputted their number and as yet are not able to get free broadband will be getting a call from TalkTalk when they can get it and once again bypass their affiliates

so my advice is to get your yellow pages out and input one of those numbers and postcodes that are near to you

Guess what my local Indian can get free BB but the time to wait is more funnier than a funny thing thats funny

You should switch to Talk3 International in 3 week(s)
Line rental should activate in 3 week(s)
Your broadband should activate at the end of May 06

erm their quick

I presume they ask for phone number as well so they can check that you aren't with a cable provider like NTL etc

I will try and fine out for you what areas have the exchanges.

You're right Keith we do require the phone number as customers must have a BT line in order to sign up.

this could be ... but what came 1st bt or cable ? so it shoudnt matter if their on ntl they should still have a bit of copper wire attached and still be able to go back to whoever they choose unless ntl makes ppl cut the copper wire  postcodes should be more than enough to be able to tell if your house is in side the max distance to the exchange. If they want to check if they are NTL etc or not why not put a bit of text saying Are you NTL etc if so dont bother we need copper wire

Any way your see as youve added your number to their database
