What are the best incentives being offered by a merchant?

We run a debt management & iva affiliate program.
Incentives are within the program itself however we are considering some incentive rewards to top performing affiliates.
Does anyone have suggestions as to whether or not additional incentives are necessary? and if so what kind of incentives one would expect to see?

What are the best incentives you have seen being offered by a merchant?

High, dependable, non reversible payouts PER LEAD work for me and most other affiliates I know.

Hi Michael

I already offered a deal like this to you. I offered a guaranteed minimum acceptance and conversion thus ensuring your payout to be more than your current arrangements.

You know I would be happy to establish a relationship with you.

Please contact me privately about this matter.

Re: What are the best incentives being offered by a merchant?

I've always been a big fan of incentive based rewards. The UK market doesn't see enough of them.

Some examples of stuff i've done

- Currently running a prize draw for a weekend break to Monte Carlo (inc. Helecopter transfer from Nice airport).

- Trip for two to Paris
- Trip to Germany for the last World Cup (England game)
- Trip to Barbados as part of the Affiliate Future Network incentive
- Alienware PC
- £1,000 in cash

and a few other bits and bobs. All affiliates are also welcome to join me for their own special incentive, lunch on me!

Thanks
James

Both sound really good, thanks.

I am considering a couple of incentive ideas such as £1000 Cash, Holiday, Football Tickets, Top Spec Centrino Duo Laptop.

However I need some help on how to divvy up the prizes.. Is it to the top earner? Highest quantity lead supplier? Highest percentage increase? Can someone shed some light on this for me.

Thanks

It's really up to you - the ideal solution would be to have a range of incentives to cover off different areas of your affiliate base.

We once ran a promotion that was geared towards the top performing affiliate - it didn't really incentivise other affiliates and, if anything, frustrated them that such a good prize was out of their reach.

I tend to prefer doing prize draw incentives (and actually doing the draw correctly) that appeal to everyone, but most improved affiliate seems to be going down well too.

Re: What are the best incentives being offered by a merchant?

There's a thread here I started a few days ago about incentives/freebies - some real gems.

IMO, a good incentive should:
- attract attention - be worthy of a mention in the network newsletter for example
- motivate both regular and new affiliates - eg. one for "Improved sales", and one for top sales.

As 3wdl said, prize draws are good - perhaps giving an entry into the "hat" for every sale made.

I also agree, there aren't enough incentives being offered

Higher Payouts do the trick, rather than unsure incentives.
