Very sad to see Pixmania have added themselves to the added growing list or merchants not allowing generic codes to be used on their program today.
I spose that this list will be ever increasing as merchants try to keep a gauge on what 'channels' are creating revenue for them with the use of voucher codes.
Yes very strange as they also add that if you are a cashback site you can still list vouchers. - Its just dedicated vouchers sites that are included in the ban.
What if you own both? I normally try to drive traffic straight through my affiliate links but I do have a cashback site as well on a share% basis.
Are they sure that they would rather point users to my cashback site, where they will pay commission for the lifetime of the customer and give them codes, rather than just a one off commission if I just send them from my voucher site?
I was contacted by Stefania from Fotovista on the 13th and told I had to remove them by yesterday. Otherwise commission is not payable on transactions which use those vouchers or any other vouchers not issued through the affiliate channel.
Although it looks like no-one else has had the message or is taking any notice as they are still listed all over the place.
"We do not allow voucher and discount sites to promote us. We do not have public discount codes and feel that voucher sites do little to promote merchants who don't have codes."
