I've been lurking here for ages - I set up a price comparison site ages ago & am fascinated by the industry.

I now find myself looking after the ecommerce needs of 3M via 3M Select
(Amongst others)
3M signed up as a merchant with Buy.at ages ago, & take up by you guys has been..... slow.

What can we offer to get you interested?

Bonuses?
Higher Rates?
Exclusive discount codes?

I'm all ears - let me know what it would take to get you interested & I'll do what I can.

I could be interested but I'm afraid with this clause I don't have the time to set-up landing pages etc.

It may be worthwhile, but I don't know until I've done a trial PPC run.

I'm not picking on you specfically as obviously you are here taking part in the forum and willing to work with affiliates so you should be commended for that but your two quotes are a bit at odds with each other and it's something that many merchants think.

Personally I think there are so many merchants out there now that it's not a case of an affiliate arguing their case but in fact it's the other way round.

I can see your point entirely & I guess the thread title shows that I'm here & willing to argue our case.
My comment was specifically aimed at Bud who was referring to the cpc policy.

I'm happy to be proved wrong, but I don't think a lot of good can come from competing with you guys for the same spot with the same keywords for the same landing page?
This is why I suggested that Bud contact me - maybe we can come up with an arrangement whereby we agree a category/categories/keyword(s) that we would not compete for.
Just thinking out loud really - happy to hear opinions.

I understand your position and thanks for taking part in the discussion.

How about providing a version of your site for affiliates to use for PPC. i.e you use the .com version but affiliate links go to .co.uk or something similar. That makes it easy for affiliates to get a test campaign up and running but doesn't compete with your own ads since it's a different display url.

Hmmm - That's an interesting idea & one which I think would work.

That being said however, my initial thoughts are that it would be very difficult/expensive to implement. I know that probably sounds like garbage - Ordinarily it would be a simple job but due to the setup here, it's not that easy.

Let me give it some more thought - as I said that's just my initial reaction.
