Re: Service offer
Hi, I think it is also best to clarify you offer on the site and the forum.
0845 Switchboard
1 Week Trial: FREE
Activation fee: £24.99
Monthly fee: £9.99
If Affiliate A signed up a user to above, would they get 5% of the £24.99 sign-up and then 5% of the £4.99 per month, forever? i.e. is this a lifetime commission?
If so, then 5% will get Affiliate A, £1.25 for the sign-up and £0.5 per month. At the end of year 1 they could get £7.25 for said user.
To get paid they have to earn at least £50, so with above example they have to register at least 7 users to the "0845 Switchboard" or more for the "0844 Switchboard".
If Affiliates do not get Sign-up commission, each user is worth £0.50 a month. Which is to be honest not a massive amount to promote Press1 heavily on their site; and you will probably struggle to get anyone doing innovative marketing for you. A telecomms affiliate site could probably make £0.5 from a click on Google Adsense
I would suggest some of the following
- Tiered structure based on number of sign-ups. 5% - 20%. Obviously i do not know your margin on these but it would make it more appealing.
- Bounty payment or Lead Payment, once user as registered for long than 1 month Affliates gets £X i.e. £5. How much is each sign-up worth to Press1?
- Try and use some of the sign-up money to fund the commission. Again i do not know your margins.
The product looks good, but don't be scared to offer high commissions at least at the beginning of your program. You need exposure and members, as you get bigger you can always change the commission structure in 6-12 months for new sign-ups. Affiliates have to spend time registering, adding links, creating pages - so the time needs to be paid for via the commission
Good luck with everything.
