Yahoo PPC - Direct to merchants?

Is it possible to do ads direct to merchants (for ones that allow) on Yahoo these days rather than your own pages?

I have some direct to merchant campaigns on Yahoo. I think you're officially supposed to have a separate landing page though.

Yeah I had some direct to merchants even recently but the last few I tried got the message: It appears that you do not own or control this domain.

I just had a call from yahoo asking me why my spend is so low and I told them the reasons as above, they said they will get customer service to sort it out and they will call me back.

I will post if it does happen and the response

There are ways round this - but the best way and most legit way is to contact customer support and explain to them.

If you offer to send them a signed letter on letter headed paper from the company you're representing, they usually make exceptions.

Is a little ridiculous its not a " business as usual " process though!!

All the best,

Alf

Thanks for the reply Alf
How about using an iframe or would this be classed as cookie stuffing?

Spoke to Yahoo rep at PubCon the other week. Alas, they have no plans to change their policy on direct-to-merchant traffic.

They told me the same. I am not sure how they think they are going to compete with google in market size, if they dont allow it, I am sure a fair amount of money comes in from affiliates
