I'm new to Adwords and although at my end things look to be going well (more clicks than I had hoped and loads of impressions)

I'm now wondering if I have set it up incorrectly.

Under one ad, I have loads of keywords, some doing better conversions than others. Most have a quality score though of only 3/10, a few of the ones most relevant to my site are only scoring 2/10.

Is it better to have one advert, with say 50 key words, or 10 adverts with 5 keywords in each? With each ad tailored to the keyword associated with it. Is that a better way to do things?

If I get lots of impressions, but relativley low click throughs, in the long run, will Google penalise me for havning poor conversions?

    Please help!

    hi james ,
google adwords is fab and Its good that you've realised google is a good way to market your sight, have you not thought about seo to get you in the natural listings.
with ppc you are paying per click , with the natural listings you are up for a set fee, and its much more convertable traffic, because you use longtail targeting to get closer to the pop.
I'd say its best to have 10 adverts with 5 in each ideally, however look at seo as an option.

    Sarah
