    Add your site to MSN

    Well, thought I would be the first to post here

    To add your site so that it gets spidered by MSNBot type in your URL here;

    Nice find, I'm just so glad that I've never needed to use one of these add site things, although I think I probably should for the smaller engines.

    I've actually found that doesn't help... just delays it further.

    I submitted a site via there - it visited but didn't index it.

    I submitted it again - same.

    Anyway, waited a while - nothing.

    Started a new site - exactly the same content. Added a link from a Google PR4 site to it.

    Next day - site was indexed and online. Already on page 5 under a certain keyword and I've only had the new site a week. That's out of 900,000 results.

    agreed..just get it listed here if you really need to get found by MSN, Google, Yahoo Slup! etc. Its my site and I can tell you it is being spidered frequently by most bots. Its a new site at the moment so doesnt have a page rank, but its better than using a submission form or software. (Google actually says time and again, that it prefers to find your site by a link rather than be told it exists with a submission, yet people still submit it.)

    Yup - I've never once submitted my site to Google or any others after all I heard. But I've read several times that it works in your favour with MSN - obviously totally different in my case - learnt the hard way.
