    Hello,

I've spent a somewhat infuriating couple of hours trying to get several thousand keywords up into the MSN adcenter.

I can't seem to get it to upload the param1 column in their bulk upload spreadsheet. I'm trying to use it to define different landing pages for keyword groups.

Anyone else had this (or can anyone point out anything I might be doing that's totally stupid?!?).

    Cheers!

Kirsty, I havent tried the different PARAMS but will give it a go when I get home tonight and let you know how I get on.

Are you receiving an error at all?

Its telling me there was some kind of error, and I believe its with the param 1 but I'm unsure as their error message downloads as an excel spreadsheet with html in it!

I'd appreciate any insight you can give tho. I have tried asking questions of MSN but they tend to send a form response that takes so long I've usually forgotten what the issue is.

Try importing as a csv rather than xls. It may give you an error message, but still manage to load the list correctly.

    Good luck!

Lol, it won't even upload a csv file!

Also I've just realised that even if it doesn't upload all of your data, it will upload some of it. So its uploaded the keywords from my abortive attempts earlier, but not the url parameter bit.

    Gahhhh..............

I haven't seen anything about an actual limit, but I did notice that errors stopped happening when I split up files for upload.

I've got some stonking great Xmas campaigns to pop up there, so goodness knows how many hours I will spend swearing at the interface in a Thai internet caff, lol.

Still some bugs in the MSN interface I feel. I wish they would sort them out as it's driving me mental.

    Hi,

I have had this problem a couple of times, one suggestion MSN support said to me was to try using Firefox instead of IE (that is if you are not already using it).

Other times I found that it said there were errors but it was uploading some of the terms (generally the rejected term reason were due to the keywords being classed as duplicates - must be something to do with the matching system MSN use).

When it has told me there are errors and it has not uploaded any keywords i have generally found if i copy and paste the the data into a new xls worksheet then it has let me upload it.

Another problem i have encountered is that it doesnt allow you upload an xls that you have open when you try uploading.

    Hope that helps.

I've just run a bit of a test. I uploaded 2k listings, and they went up fine. I tried 4k and it was having none of it.

Bit of a pain in the bum, but no worse than overture I guess.

Wish they would come up with a similar tool to the Google Adwords editor, but guess they have to get some revenues on the go first!

I wonder if Bill endorses that advice?
