Have buymobilephones.net changed there commission structure? Checked yesterday and the sales were coming through at 0.01p and not £15. Took a look at the merchant info on AF and it is still saying £15 for 1-49 and £20 for 50+

Could someone from AF let me know?

    Cheers,

    Gianni

Yes! They changed their prog. since 1st January, 2010. Now, they follow pay-per-lead concept and award £25 for completed sale.

    Hi

The Buy Mobile Phones programme changed to a per connection model on the 1st January - 2 emails were sent about this (the second one a reminder on the 30th) which would go to whichever email address you have registered in your AF account.
The sales will now track at one penny and be upgraded to the full amount if they are approved as a connection by Buy Mobile Phones. We realise that this is less than ideal from a reporting point of view and are working on some new reports enabling affiliates to see the full amount of commission alongside a status of pending, approved or declined - we hope to have this ready for next week.

There was also a problem with tracking on the Buy Mobile Phones site from 1-3rd January which wasn't related to the programme change but occurred after other changes were made to the site. We have the click data for this period and Buy Mobile Phones will be estimating commission based on clicks sent and each affiliate's normal conversion rates.

    Regards

    Richard

Cheers for the info. Is this just a flat connection fee irrespective of numbers or is there still tiers?

Sorry, I forgot to mention the basic rate is £25 for a contract connection but if you send 30 contract orders in the month you are then paid £30 per connection for all successful contract orders that month.

    Cheers

Could you give us any expected approval %: it might be too early for you, but BMP must know! Also how long will be the validation time? It's obviously not 5 days - I haven't got a single sale approved since 01/01/2010.

    Hi Valeks

You're right, a bit early to say and everyone will have a different pass rate of course. Time-wise they are validating after the customer's peace of mind guarantee has passed so we've validated sales up to about the 5th Jan so far. To complicate matters there was a fault on the BMP site from 1st Jan to lunchtime on the 3rd which meant the clicks tracked but the sales didn't - BMP are estimating connections for this period based on clicks sent by each affiliate and that affiliate's click-order and order-connect rate.

There will be a lot more info as the month goes on and we validate more, and I'm happy to keep you posted then.

    Cheers

I already have some validated sales :tup , BUT they are available only on the old AF interface - My Account overview; the new AffiliateFuture Affiliate Tools shows only the updated balance on the home page and that's it!
The "Second level leads" doesn't include Buymobilephones and the confirmed leads are nowhere to find. Also I have no idea which of the rest 1p commissions have been cancelled and which are still pending
Could you just make it possible when we make a sale to show us if it is:
    - pending
    - approved
    - cancelled
    ...

I can assure you some reporting improvements would be very helpful

    Hi Valeks,

I totally agree you need to see the amounts pending and confirmed and the new reports are on the way in the next week or two - I'll update as soon as I can.

Could you clarify what exactly means "...rising to £30 per connection for affiliates sending 30 or more contract orders per month". This month I've sent far more than 30 contract orders, but my commission has't changed.
If you mean confirmed contract connections - than I've got just a few of these since 01/01/2010, meaning there's no chance to reach 30 by the end of the month if BMP need more than 20 days to confim them
If you mean exctly what the quote from your site says "30 or more conrtact orders" (not "connection" ) - than why I don't get £30 per connection? Also - do we get £30 for all our sales during the particular month?

I think the BMP's programme details should be more specific - right now I have no idea if I'm ever going to get £30 per sale!

    Hi Zmey

Yes, you're right - send 30 contract orders in the month and all of your contract orders from that month will be paid at £30 if they are successful. This ties in a bit with the need for new reporting discussed above, which we're still working on, but we will make sure your commissions are paid at the right rate, even if it involves a manual adjustment for January.
Feel free to email me too if you have any specific account questions richard.buckton@affiliatefuture.co.uk

    Cheers

    Richard.

    Thanks for the reply!
So, in general we have to get 30 x £25 sales approved by Buymobilephones.net, and just after that we'll get +£5 for these sales
Fair enough, if they could just approve the sales faster - I think 20+ days is too much waiting. Some other mobile phone merchants confirms the commissions once the order has been dispatched.

    Hi,

No, it's simpler than that, we do it on contract orders received because, as you say, it can take a while to know how many connections you've had in a month (and you would never know within the month like you do with amount of orders sent). So as long as you've sent 30 contract orders in January, any orders taken in January will be paid at £30 if they successfully connect (including the first 30 orders).

    Cheers
