are you reporting the spam?
There are 10 moderators of this forum category, but still it's packed with posts selling/requiring data or leads.
Ridiculous.
are you reporting the spam?

Agree, but whilst posts are still being allowed for data/leads selling & buying then personally I think mobile related ones are better left here, especially as it's obviously the preferred area for those interested (and they're not being reported as spam).
Personally I don't think A4U should allow any of these now a4uleads.com - a4uLeads Premium Lead Generation is back up and running, but until we hear different...
Nope, I left it up to the 10 moderators. I figured that each of the 10 moderators would be notified of each post individually. Surely one of them pops in to the forum every now anad again? As a user I'll gladly report the occassional spam that gets by the 10 moderators, but it hasn't worked in the past.
Hiya Fox
Reporting really does help. Although it is frustrating to see spam around, what you don't see are the hundreds of spam posts that get filtered and mods check each and every day. Personally my guess would be that I've deleted around 500 spam posts in the last week alone - there's a lot around!
What I'm trying to say is there are two areas that are affected by spam, the 'public forum' and the 'to be approved area' - The 'to be approved area' contains an awful lot of valid posts that are simply flagged as possibly needing to be checked before being allowed on the forum (this is a fairly recent addition which has been tremendously successful in reducing the amount of spam). Sometimes the spam filters don't pick up every suspicious post and this is where reporting really does help highlight it to the moderators. If a mod comes across a spammy post it will instantly be deleted/banned/moved as appropriate, but we need to find them first!
My guess is that currently for every spam post in the public area there are around 50 in the 'to be approved area' - all have to be read!
Hope that helps you understand that you haven't been abandoned by the mods, just some stuff slips through, we can't read every post every day, but we try!!
Keep reporting, it's very effective
That gives you a general forum view of the moderators (unpaid) task - with respect directly to these finance/mobile forums, then whilst lead/data etc selling is still allowed in these areas then we are told they aren't to be considered as spam (see my post above).
