draw the traffic in through your well ranked demon pages, and pump it out through a competitor's link...
Anyone know why the Demon program has suddenly been stopped and if it
is likely to start up again soon?
What do people do when things like this happen?
I had some pages set up specifically for Demon, but have taken them offline
at the moment, they are still ranking high in Google, but if they stay offline
much longer they will soon drop.
Would I have been OK to have left the pages up but without active links, or
would Demon complain if I did this?

Cost effective web development. Codewise
As the pages were specifically set up for Demon, have Demon branding and
Demon information all over them I don't think they would like that![]()
If I thought the program was only stopped for a short while I would prefer
to leave the pages up, even if it was just giving them free traffic.

Thanks,
I'm aware of what I could do, but would Demon object if I did some of the
things sugested?
My problem is, I had the pages styled to blend in with Demon, was using their
banners and using the info of their site.
This meant the pages effectively looked like Demon pages to anyone landing
on them.
I could change the content and then use AdAense, but don't want to do
this if the program is going to go back live.

If you don't want to upset them, in the short term why not just make the links to Demon from your page just straight links - ok they will make you no income but if the affiliate programme is currently suspended then it's making you no income anyway.
Never argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.
If ignorance is bliss then some of the people I know must be orgasmic.
Hi TJ
Despite Demon recognising the value and cost effectiveness of the affiliate channel, they are unable to secure more budget for the remainder of 2006.
We anticipate that this campaign will kick off again in January 2007 and will of course be keeping affiliates informed.
Kind regards,
Nicky
I didn't realise Demon was suspended.
I just got my first sale from them on 5 November which was validated yesterday
Great I thought only 1 day to validate, so now my question is will the commission be paid?
btw, the links are still working!
