Is Vanilla mobile any good?

Hello all,

I'm fairly new to this game and was hoping one of you may be able to provide me with some feedback with regards to having any success working with Vanilla mobile.

I have now been running a site with them for 4 months. The hit rate has steadilly increased and I have over achieved my expectation of the volume of visitors. However, whilst I am sending people to the site, for some reason they are not buying anything. Well, very very few people are buying anything. My conversion rate is currently less that 1% of visitors.

My queries are...
Is this conversion rate normal for the market?
If not, can anyone recommend a supplier that will offer similar volumes of commission but provide deals that people will actually buy?
Has anyone worked with Vanilla and worked out which method provides the best return on time? i.e. Use the datefeed and create your own entire site or use their templates and add your own design around it.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Although not used vanilla mobile program, but overall scenario is not that good for mobile phones affiliate as it used to be previously.
It has become highly competitive and unpredictive......

I was emailed by someone who had read this post and was wanting other examples of the INSTANT AutoPilot phone site builder software in action.

This site is one such - owned by a 2u.co.uk affiliate, not by 2u.co.uk - so we do not control the customisation and running of the site.

I can't give figures but that affiliate is starting to earn well (well done to him).

I also created this one today as I figured we should own a demonstration site of the patinum version -

Firstly I must say after watching the videos your system looks "very" impressive...

My main interest is the "Pay As you go" Market... I did not see this on any of your sample sites so does that mean this area is "not" covered by your system? [ or was it just not selected as an option when sites were built ? ].. this is my main area of interest and once the recession makes it harder for folk to get contracts will be a growing industry...

As my expertise lies in SEO please could you answer these questions..

1. Google does "not" like thin affiliate sites and they are hard to rank, are sales orders processed from within the sites or via an affiliate link... in other words does google treat the sites as thin affiliate sites... I am in no way picking fault it's just I need to know... I ask this as I have some valuable domains which could rank highly however the SEO has to be 100% safe and not just a site full of affiliate links... if I were to place sites full of affilaite links they would simply not rank well for the domains I own...

2. Do the site templates have links to "any" other websites ? if so can these be removed as this is a vital piece of SEO.. no dis-respect some scripts link to the author or script provider which does not help SEO... if so can these easily be removed?

3. Once purchased can the software be used on "unlimited sites/domains" , to me it looked like it could as all that was changed was the affiliate details...

4. If DPA registration happens at a later date is this easy to change [ if a person ticked the "not" registered button.

5. What is the difference between standard and platinum?

6. You mentioned the mod re-write if you have it? is this something that has to be made available by the hosting company..

7. Do you update the software and is it easy to upgrade an already built site?


From an SEO point of view I can see a couple of great things that could be done to benefit the system, as I said my major concern would be that google sees a site full of affiliate links..

As I said my own interest is in "Pay as You Go" due to the domains I have.. look forward to your reply..
