:tup I like your website! very nice design. Very clean, easy to use. Btw what script or cms did you use?
I've just joined affiliates4u after launching a new mobile phones reviews and affiliate deals website one week ago: Phone Guru :: The best mobile phone deals
Being a relative newcomer to the affiliate marketing game, I'm really keen to hear what other people think of the website.
My experience is in technology reviews, which is why we've approached the market from a handset rather than a tariff perspective.
Any constructive feedback (positive or negative) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Moshin. I'd love to answer your questions about the script and CMS, but that has all been managed by my project partner/web developer and he's currently on holiday. Will get the info and pass it on when he returns.

Site looks ok, but it's really heavy on the html.
Yep it's Joomla - Joomla!
with the eStore Plazza template - Professional Joomla Templates Club - TemplatePlazza - eStore Plazza, Joomla Online Store template
It looks very good, but agree about Ian's comment, there are load of Joomla templates out there which are less html heavy
Not sure how Google will treat your site, but the individual page's unique bit of content is preceeded by 1450 odd lines of template html. You might want to look at tweaking the template to get the unique content a bit higher up the page.
Thanks ian and t4xi - really appreciate your feedback. I'll get the site's developer to look at the heavy use of html as soon as he returns from his hols next week.
Regarding the 1450 lines if template html - does this affect every page or just the homepage? And are we talking about the need for a major site overhaul or a few simple tweaks?
Nice looking but agree that its heavy .. and slow to load.
What I would do is go into your joomla administrator panel, install a new template, then make this the default template.
If you don't like the look of the new template, then you can easily go back to the original template with just a couple of clicks.
I haven't used joomla, but I'm sure there are css based templates that will get rid of those nasty nested tables
Hi Ian
By nested tables, do you mean the deals boxes at the top of the page?
Most of the page uses tables for positioning and layout. The left had review nav consists of one 1x48 table to frame the whole nav, then a 1 cell table in each of the 48 rows. Add in the long alt tags and duplicate title tag and you've got a whopping 32k of html. Compare that to a css based design where you're looking at 4 or 5k plus a small bit for css.
Looks good but like alot of CMS they could heavily bloated which don't make for good SEO.

Hi,
The site does look good, although a little too familiar - especially the 'Buy' button which I think came straight from our site. You might like to look at that, but in the meantime come and join the programme anyway - drop me a line - r.buckton@dialaphone.com - I've just taken over as Affiliate Manager.
I agree about the heavy template but that's easy to fix.
Cheers
Richard.
