Dialaphone launch on Affiliate Window

I'm pleased to announce that Dial-a-Phone will be launching a new programme next week on Affiliate Window, complete with a newly expanded product feed, a range of new creative including automatically updated offer banners and a commission structure which now includes USB modems, sim only and more. You can apply via Affiliate Window here and approvals will begin on Monday 16th.

Here's the full range of commissions;

• Contract phone connection - £60 plus a £5 introductory bonus til the end of July
• Contract USB modem connection - £30
• Sim only connection - £30
• Lebara International sim card sale - £5
• PAYG USB modem sale -£5

One of the great things about the Dial-a-Phone site is the ability to create your own custom deal from the huge selection of handsets, tariffs and gifts available, and the new product feed will now include all of these combinations - at last count almost 15,000 deals!

For those of you who use banners we've got a new offer banner in four popular sizes which we'll update regularly with the latest top deal, so you can put it up, leave it and know it's always going to be up-to-date. This is to complement the general range of creative, and there'll be more on the way - in fact, we'd love to hear from you if there's anything you particularly need.

This is great news about the expanded product feed. Running a feed based comparison site, I expect to drive a lot more sales for dialaphone when the switchover is made. One question, what is the validation period of sales going to be?

Thanks for your team for this great effort bcz i m fed it with buy.at....
They didn't transfer our commission yet and it takes around 2 months (more than 400 pound commission) .....

Hi Martin,

I must point out that we have no problem at all with Buy.At, and the switch is taking place on a commercial basis - they're both in my opinion great networks. I'll have a look into your payment delay as well, see if there's anything we can do.

Bewise, as for validation we'll be doing this weekly as Affiliate Window pay out to affiliates twice a month, but within that each sale needs to have had a 21 day cooling off period during which the customer has the option to cancel.

I have just looked at the feed on AWIN and am not impressed as it has no tariff details other than network and monthly value. Presumably it is still being worked on? Can you provide info on this and when a more useful feed will be available?

Hi Andy,

We've got 2 versions of the feed available, the condensed version you've just seen and the full one with lots more fields. Due to it's size we haven't been able to make the full one available in the interface straight away as we would have liked, but it is available to anyone who wants it by contacting myself or Michelle - we'll sort you out with an FTP address. I'll update everyone regarding when the full feed will be downloadable in the normal way.

So what percentage of sales leak through the big "Sales Hotline 0800 183 7902" number plastered very prominently top-left over the logo?

The telephone number is hidden if you go though an affiliate link. BTW Richard the phone number box, and the alternative shown for affiliate links, covers the DAP logo if you view it on a window wider than 1280px or narrower than 800px.

There is also an issue with the big feeds not updating. I'll try emailing AW again and will CC you in.

No it isn't. Not on buy.at anyway.

AW, it appears yes on first visit. But it's for that session only - the number appears on subsequent visits. Most people don't buy on their first visit.

Hi,

We were careful to remove the phone number from any affiliate folder, including buy.at (for example if you go to Mobile Phones - Mobile Phone Offers - Mobile Phone Contracts UK it doesn't appear). It's a fair point about returning visitors though, and I'll have something set up asap to remove it when a cookie is present.
I've spoken to Rich today and the feed is being updated every evening, and in the afternoon as well on the odd day where we publish twice.
