Mobile phone performers, best and worst

I am doing some research into best and worst performers in the mobile phone sector and wanted to gage some peoples opinions here at A4U. Which merchants eprform best and which convert worst?

For us it's

Best:
3 mobile
Dialaphone
Vodafone

Worst:
Carphone
O2
Virgin (although it's improving)

Would love to know what you guys think.

Hi Hannah,
yes please pm them to me, or post them in this thread. We don't actually promote you at the moment, but we are looking into it. Some figures would be very useful.

Thanks

Hi

My best advice would be that overall, the conversion of different mobile merchants is largely dependant on the type of traffic you are sending. For some affiliates, a reseller with a high conversion rate that works with a broader range of traffic might be the best bet - e2save, DialaPhone, and so on.

For other affiliates with a different range of traffic it may be better to send directly to a mobile network like Vodafone. You will typically find the payout is higher although the credit score for accepting new customers is a little more tough. If you can target the right market, it's usually worth it.

I have some information on different EPCs, approval rates and so on for various mobile merchants that might help you make this decision. If anyone is interested please drop me an email to julia.stent@affiliatewindow.com or add me to MSN: jrstent@hotmail.com.

Hope that helps!

Julia

It's also worth considering returns. I know a few merchants claw back the money off affiliates for returned handsets. We don't do that at Mobiles.co.uk. Our returns rate is tiny. So once the commission is paid, it is paid.
