    I think microwaving it or blending it would be good.

    My other half isn't going to be happy if I use our microwave or blender to do it though

    Almost destroyed the microwave last month, when I went to sterilize my daughters bottles and forgot to put the water in the sterilizer. Got alerted by the burning smell after 4 minutes, and found the microwave was too hot to touch! Suprisingly it still works fine

    Set it to use a bird ringtone and then ring it and see if the cat kills it.
