Sid would like to pass on his congratulations to our prize wining megabus affiliates!!

The megabus performance prizes included 2 weekends away which went to ‘Hot UK Deals’ and ‘Student Beans’. I hope these guys have a great time!

A further prize draw for 5 X £100 went to ‘Stuck on Scotland’, ‘UK Student Life’, ‘Paperdeals’, ‘Travel rants Blog’ and ‘Travel from Here’.

Congratulations to all of these affiliates who were randomly drawn using names on pieces of paper and a megabus mug!! (Sometimes the old ways are the best ways!)

To the rest of you I pass on my mega thanks for continuing to promote the megabus.com - low cost intercity travel in the UK brand. The team and I wish you the best of luck for the next incentives!

I would also like to take this opportunity to provide a quick update on the megabus programme:

We have now been running our affiliate programme for nearly 4 months (how time flies!) and we have been seeing some great promotional efforts and conversion rates from our affiliates.

Our megabus team having been highly impressed with all your efforts and are always barging into my office to show me one thing or another that you have impressed them with!

In our time so far we have launched 3 campaigns:

• Our mega free seats sale
• Our capped travel for February and
• Our voucher code for March

Alongside this we have also generated creative material for Christmas & New Year travel and Valentines travel! (I have, of course, been the main point of interest in these creatives!)

Coming up we have the Easter sales, of which megabus always sees a great uplift due to our value savings message and after this please remember 'Green Week' which starts on the 31st May 2010.

The affiliate programme is only set to get bigger, better and mega and we will soon be extending the Stagecoach product range into new affiliate programmes so look out for Buster who will be arriving to affiliate window soon…………..(a fine fellow who helps students get around cheaper!)
