In a pretty little conservation hamlet in the East Neuk of Fife, two miles inland from St Monans and Pittenweem, this charming property has beautiful views over the coastal villages to the sea and the Isle of May. Originally the village school, the property has been imaginatively converted to a very high standard and has considerable character with many unique features and lovely finishing touches. The galleried lounge is on the first floor to maximise the view. Adjacent to the village church, this secluded property has a grassy enclosed garden with garden furniture to enjoy the lovely surroundings.

Arncroach is a peaceful place within easy reach of the sandy beaches and picturesque fishing ports along the coast. Fife is the home of golf and there are many excellent courses nearby with St Andrews less than a half hour drive. Anstruther has facilities for water sports and sea angling. Shops and restaurants serving the best of local produce within a few miles.

Beautifully situated in a quiet winding street opposite the historic church, this charming studio apartment forms part of a restored 18th century terrace and offers a delightful holiday home for a couple. Completely modernised to a high standard, this compact apartment is bright and comfortably furnished. As all rooms are on one level with no steps, it may be suitable for some visitors with limited mobility.

There are many excellent golf courses with St Andrews only 12 miles and lovely walks to explore. The village has a post office / general store and a good hotel, all within walking distance, and is an easy drive from Edinburgh, Perth and Stirling.

Friockheim is ideally placed for exploring the coast with its quaint old fishing villages such as Auchmithie and Gourdon and miles of golden sands at St Cyrus and Lunan Bay or the spectacular Angus glens where trails lead into the magnificent scenery of the Cairngorm mountains. The seaside towns of Arbroath and Montrose are within a few miles as are the historic cathedral city of Brechin and the bustling county town of Forfar. This whole area is steeped in history and there are National Trust properties, stately homes and ancient monuments such as Glamis Castle and Arbroath Abbey within easy reach. Nearby are a choice of golf courses, good angling, lovely walks and nature reserves. The village has a shop and two excellent pubs.

Colmonell (near Girvan) - Ayrshire (sleeps 10) - Ref no: AY129a (Nearest golf course Turnberry)
Belhamie is a lovely traditional whitewashed stone built farmhouse on a working farm on the estate with its own orchard and private enclosed garden and with lovely views over farmland to the wooded hillside.

Local attractions include the Galloway Forest Park which provides scope for cycling, nature trails and other outdoor activities, Culzean Castle and Country Park is well worth a visit, there is a wonderful sandy beach at Lendalfoot, shopping and sea trips at Girvan and excellent local golf courses including Turnberry. 30 minutes away, Ayr has excellent shopping facilities and indoor attractions for all the family. Shops, pub/hotel 2.5 miles.

Haddington - East Lothian (Sleeps 4) - Ref no:LT123 (Nearest golf course Muirfield)
This charming 2-storey cottage is tucked away in a sunny, south-facing, sheltered courtyard. An interesting conversion, the cottage has a traditional stone-built exterior whilst the interior is modern and contemporary. The sunny rooms are comfortably furnished with a lovely atmosphere, relaxing feel and many personal touches to ensure visitors have a most enjoyable stay. Haddington lies on the banks of the River Tyne and fishing for brown trout, sea trout and salmon is available - daily and weekly permits available from Main Saddlers in the High Street. Haddington is also on National Cycle Route 76 "Coast and Castles". The town boasts excellent local amenities, a sports centre, varied restaurants, interesting shops. a supermarket, children's park with excellent play area and riverside walks. Glenkinchie Distillery approx 3 miles away, Edinburgh 18 miles.

Belhaven (near Dunbar) - Lothians (Sleeps 6) - Ref no:LT66 (Nearest golf course Muirfield)
The village of Belhaven, on the outskirts of the Royal Burgh of Dunbar, provides a peaceful retreat with lovely countryside and sea shore walks. This is one of the 3 areas in Scotland renowned for the longest hours of sunshine and the lowest rainfall. The lovely sandy beach of Belhaven Bay is within 100 yards and leads to the John Muir Country Park, a conserved wildlife habitat with extensive woodland walks. Dunbar has a lovely swimming/leisure pool and 2 golf courses.

This traditional sandstone cottage has been completely modernised and an architect designed extension provides spacious and light living areas. There is an attractive enclosed garden with garden furniture and barbecue. From the original cottage, steps lead down into the large kitchen with an attractive dining area and patio doors out to the garden. Auchterarder - Perthshire (Sleeps 2) - Ref no: PE507 (Nearest golf course Gleneagles)
Originally built as a stable for the main house in 1850 and converted to a dwelling in 1925, this detached stone built cottage has been fully refurbished and has much traditional charm. The open plan interior features exposed beams and sanded floors and the compact cosy rooms have a continental feel and comfortable furnishings. There are two small terraces with garden table and chairs.

The small town of Auchterarder has a rich historic past and is well placed between Stirling and Perth to enjoy the fine scenery and recreational pursuits of Strathearn. The area is a perfect base for touring the Trossachs, Highland Perthshire and the famous Gleneagles hotel and golf courses are close to hand. There is something for all the family to enjoy from abseiling and parachute jumping to trekking and hill walking. Golf and fishing are readily available. This beautiful property is a charming barn conversion finished to an exceptionally high standard.
