Scratch2Cash October Incentive

COMMISSION CHANGES

With effect from 30th September 2010 Subzero will increase the existing commission from 10% to 11% of sale value. This is in response to rates paid by direct competitors on the Webgains system.

This is intended as a permanent adjustment and is not a promotional gimmick. Subzero intend to maintain their strategy of competitive commissions and pricing while selling through Webgains.


PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES

October 2010
During October 2010 Subzero will be running a consumer promotion - 12% discount on all web site products using the code SZCOLD12. This offer will expire on 1st November 2010.

They are also planning a consumer incentive programme that will run throughout the winter months and will be publishing the details of the offers, at least 14 days before commencement. The next promotion will feature a free product when an order value passes through a stated threshold.

GetLenses - October Promotions & Update

Autumn Promotions

* The promotion on the new product range of hypoallergenic make-up products is continuing. Contact lens wearers often experience a lot of problems with their make-up - not just practical ones but also high incidences of allergy and intolerance. The Eye Care Cosmetics range has been designed specifically to address these issues. Until the end of October a 10% off discount will be applicable using coupon code EHYN8 on this range only. It may be worth listing in health and beauty as well as the normal optical placement.

* The start of winter is a difficult time for contact lens wearers. As the central heating gets turned on (and the car radiator) people tend to have problems with dry eyes. A coupon is therefore being introduced giving 10% off all lens solutions and dry eye products. The coupon code is SLF62 and is valid until 31st October.

* Don't forget - the generic volume based offers remain in place (buy 12 months' lenses - get one month free - new banners for Focus Dailies - No 1 UK product). Note this applies to most popular brands but not all. There is still Free UK Shipping for all orders greater than £30.

* Please ensure any searches for contact lenses and contact lens solutions results in a reference to GetLenses. While this is the case for most sites for contact lenses, solutions are a much neglected category (with higher margins - so more to go round).

GetLenses are considering a different commission rate for affiliates who can place them top in generic rather than branded searches. So rather than giving commission to people searching for GetLenses more would be payable for people looking for contact lenses. Please do get in touch if you think you would be able to work on this...


Updates

* The telephone number in the main header has been removed for all Affiliate referrals. GetLenses know this is important to you. However, conversion rates will be watched closely - consumers are quite often puzzled by their prescriptions and need some hand holding.

*A new product feed has been introduced. This is much more sophisticated than the previous version, which listed a standard price per box for contact lenses. Most consumers understand price per pair at various price points (90 pairs = 3 months etc). This will now support much better pricing communication so it is hoped you take it up.

New Premises

The biggest news this year so far is Regency's move into a new warehouse and offices. Regency have relocated into one central industrial unit about 12 miles from the city of Bath. Previously the offices and storage were somewhat disjointed but everything is now under one roof. A brand new showroom has been built where a selection of the product range is on display to the public five days a week. The storage capacity for stock has increased by over 300% which means Regency is set to become the UK's best retain stockist of chess sets.



Trust Factor Goes Through The Roof

The new business premises is heavily advertised on the website and it's raised customers confidence in the website hugely. A dramatic increase has been seen in the number of online sales, especially higher value sales. All but one of Regency's competitors in the UK runs their business in a home / garage environment and their websites lack credibility and openness as a result. Regency now have the lead in this respect as well as massive order fulfilment capabilities which makes them vthe only chess company to promote.
