Dear Affililiates,

It has come to our attention that a number of affiliates are promoting unauthorised voucher codes on their sites and within emails. We would like to remind you that affiliates are only permitted to promote voucher codes that have been provided by the network or OMD.

Affiliates must also ensure that any voucher code T&Cs, including terms of use and expiry dates are clearly displayed next to any voucher code promotion. Please be advised that any affiliate found promoting a code that has not been issued by the network or OMD or that has incomplete/incorrect terms and conditions will result in all unpaid commissions being withheld and removal from all Shop Direct Group programmes.

Affiliate FAQ:

“I saw another affiliate promoting a code. I’m going to put it on my site.”
This is against our terms and conditions and you may lose commissions on your unpaid transactions.

“I saw Affiliate X promoting a code and I don’t think they should be.”
We would encourage you to report the code directly to our Account Managers at Affiliate Window who will take appropriate steps.

“My site includes a lot of user generated content. I can’t be responsible for what they put on my site.”
We hold you responsible for the content written about our brands on your website. If you allow user generated content (e.g. users to submit their ‘own’ codes to your site for other members to use) you should take active steps to police these, by either manually approving user-submissions regarding Shop Direct Brands or any other suitable means.

“I saw codes on your webpage / on a customer email I got. Surely that means I can put it on my website?”
Not necessarily. We do indeed produce regular promotional codes for our customers and non-customers to use, however, these may not be intended for ‘general distribution’ but targeted types of customers only.

The best way to be aware of what voucher codes you are allowed to promote is to read our regular newsletters which come via the network. All codes that are valid for promotion will also be added to the OfferCentral system in your buy.at management area which can be accessed under the ‘Content & Creative’ tab. This includes expiry dates, copy and the relevant URL, all of which must be used exactly as given.

We would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that all codes are only valid when used by new customers opening a credit account and this copy must be included wherever you are promoting any voucher code.

If you are unsure of any voucher codes that you may be promoting at the moment, we would request that you get in contact with us.
