Hi,
The Christmas crackers are out early in the Premier League this weekend as some of the countries top teams face off against each other. First up on Sunday, Chelsea will be hoping they can discover their form having taken just 5 points from a possible 18 in the last 6 games - officially their worst run since Roman Abramovich took control of the club. They face a free scoring Tottenham side who are on a high since securing top spot in their Champions League group this week. Can Ancelotti's men rediscover their winning touch or will Spurs win at White Hart Lane to take themselves to within a point of the Blues? The stand out game of the weekend however is the top of the table clash between Manchester United and Arsenal at Old Trafford. Arsenal went top last weekend with 2 sublime goals from player of the moment, Samir Nasri. However, they'll face a much tougher test on Monday night as they take on a refreshed Man United team who were out of action last weekend following the postponement of their match at Blackpool. Can Arsenal extend their lead at the top of the table or will United prove too strong for the Gunners?
Of the other weekend fixtures, a resurgent Liverpool travel to the North East to take on Newcastle in Alan Pardew's first game whilst Manchester City can move into the top 3 with a win at bottom club West Ham. Staying at the bottom, a win for Wigan at Everton could see the Toffees slip into the relegation zone as could Fulham or Aston Villa unless they can secure results against Sunderland and West Brom at home.
Although there’s no test match this week in the Ashes, all eyes will be on England's tour match against Victoria. With Stuart Broad out of the Ashes series, either Chris Tremlett, Tim Bresnan or Ajmal Shahzad will be looking to impress in the tour match. The 3rd Test starts next Thursday morning in Melbourne with England's superb win this week meaning they lead the series 1-0. Don't forget that Betdaq have some excellent markets available on individual tests and the whole series.
Other than that, it's the semi finals and the final of the UK Championship in snooker where John Higgins will be looking to win back the title that he lost in the final last year. Amir Khan makes his Las Vegas debut this weekend taking on the dangerous Argentine Marcos Maidana whilst in the UK, Olympic champion James DeGale takes on Paul Smith to try and win the British Championship.
