Firstly, apologies for posting this last thing on a Friday- couldn't be helped.

The good news is that I’ve got a great promotion to announce!

Firebox turns 10 in June, and to celebrate a decade of gadgety goodness we’re having a Birthday Bonanza month. Every day in June we will be discounting one product on our site by 50%, for 24 hours only. There’s a really great selection of products on offer, with something for everyone.

How you can promote the Birthday Bonanza

We have normal banners in a range of sizes, all of which link through to that page. They are all labelled 'Seasonal-Birthday Bonanza' in AW and in the 'Promotions and Seasonal' folder in AF

[3] OR use our extra special dynamic banner!

We’ve put together a 250x250 square banner that will dynamically update with that day’s promotion every day during June. To get the code for this you need to go to our download page which is Gadgets, games, boys toys & gift ideas from Firebox.com. Choose your network, put in your affiliate id, any tracking code, and get hold of the html to put the banner straight into your site. All tracking will work as normal, we’re hosting the dynamic image ourselves though.

Banner (which will dynamically update with any luck!) looks like this:

Just thought you might want to know that the wording of the bonanza page is a little messed up

Psst, guess what? It's our birthday. Yep, that's right Firebox is celebrating TEN YEARS of gadgety goodness this June, but we don't worry we not expecting any gifts (unless you really want to that is). Instead we're be giving YOU, our gorgeous customers, a gift to thank you for supporting us this last decade!

Thanks everyone- yep, 10 years is a cool milestone to pass, although I've only contributed to two of them.

Incidentally, its 8 years since we setup our affiliate program (just looked up the original contract dates), so although we're still a young company, in the world of affiliate marketing we're old hands .

Anyway, with the Birthday Bonanza promotion, top marks to Ian for spotting the deliberate mistakes. That'll teach us not to proof read properly. Was fixed over the weekend.

And please note, although there are promotional banners available on the networks, to get the snazzy dynamic one above you have to get the html code from this page. This is the only one of the banners which will update daily as soon as the product changes.

Thanks to all the affiliates promoting the Bonanza offer so far- its going well, and traffic levels have been phenomenal :tup. Just looking at affiliate sales, the products on offer have been our top sellers for the last 5 days, which is great!

For anyone interested in a bit of Firebox history, I've written a post on our company blog, including a link to what the site looked like way back then (when we were called hotbox).

The cost of things has changed a bit- in 1998 we were selling a 42" Philips plasma TV for £12,500! hmy

The sales were going great for me, then noticed a dip. For some reason the dynamic 250x250 banner isnt working any more. It doesn't show in your post above either. The code I picked up for the banner is;

I was away on holiday last week, hence the late reply.

I think the banner was broken on one of the days only- am investigating why. It all seems fine now though, and I'll keep a close eye on it to make sure it doesn't occur again.
