codes for icodes

Today we have released all of our codes in a format to upload into the icodes system. It seemed stupid everyone cutting and pasting codes when we had them. The format is a simple CSV, but can be supplied in XML if Leeeky wishes to automated the import, as he is doing with Existem.

If you have extra codes then just load them into the icodes system as normal.

To get the codes, just goto:

www.promotions.co.uk

register (if you have not already done so) and login, you will then see all the codes in CSV and XML format and also in Icodes format.

How do you know the icodes format when we don't even know it yet???

Also only the networks or those responsible for the merchants will be able to upload codes relevant to them.

Why should we want to get them from you when we can get them direct... manually or automated.

We both know our database if more updated than yours, so to upload one of your feeds would be a complete waste of time.

I think you will find our reach is significantly greater than icodes, but our codes in more places is of course something I would love.

If you want them you know where they are, if anyone wants extra fields added to save you time adding them to icodes and to maybe even to make Leekies system better then please just say what fields you want.

Maybe I am missing something here, but lots of people/large companies/small companies are using our feeds in various methods. Why you may ask?...because it is easy and in many cases free. Build a script and remove our codes that you already have as other people are doing

But you won't take them from us, even as a backfill. If you are trying to tell people you have the best code database to use on your systems surely you would take the codes from anyone who was offering you legitimate codes and then decide which ones you would use.

We may offer a cut down service like yours for FREE, which like yours would just consist of a csv or xml list of codes and relevant details so people can simply dump it into their database and let them sort it out at their end.

At the moment we both offer different services, you supply websites and we power websites... but we could also supply websites as an optional extra.
