Could I make a plea to all the finance sites out there with good traffic - please, please, please promote this programme as much as possible!

That way, we can show Elephant that they don't need to spend so much money on TV adverts, and we can get that annoying t**t who keeps on coming on about even cheaper car insurance off our screens!

It should work well btw, as I know they are often (but not always) the cheapest, together perhaps with Tesco.

My car is insured with them, so I just hope that Trunky, or whatever he's called didn't get paid on performance.

Thanks for the feedback on the conversion rates. Elephant do have a great reputation for cheap insurance making their conversion rates excellent. This coupled with the £18 commisions makes it well worth promoting.

I take on board your comments on bidding . Elephant can control bidding on brand terms, related terms and mispells - so its important that we adhere to their guidelines.

We will be reviewing the campaign in a month where we will strongly advise that they allow bidding under the guidelines not to bid above the merchant. As you pointed out this will prevent competitors bidding on their name.

We will keep you posted on any bidding developements.

There are a number of financial services sector merchants which are unavailable at night - think this is the first insurance co I know of but certainly a couple of the credit card schemes are unavailable for a few hours every night.

Its all down to their old backoffice systems needing time to recover from the activity of the day before

Yes this is correct. The elephant.co.uk website is down between the hours of 0:00 and 6:30am each night in order to download and back up that day's information.
