Am I right in thinking that it is possible to use YPN via OMGUK?

If so, has anyone had any experience of this? I've been keen on trying it to see how it performs.

Been using it for a year now. Was some hitches with the code when we started using it, but has all been smoothened out now and works a dream. Can customise the colours etc. The great is you can manually choose which sector ads you'd like to be shown on your site... something you can't do with Google Adsense of course. Definitely worth a try.

Revenue is more or less similar to Adsense. There are less advertisers and a lower percentage of click-throughs than Adsense, but this is evened out by the higher click amounts.

Thanks Nadeem! It sounds like it's worth a shot

Was it quite hard to get accepted on to it? I've applied to OMG twice now with no sucess (not sure why, as I've never been turned down before by a network!).

Sorry to hear you've been rejected. OMG are a good network, but we've had issues with getting accepted on programs too, even though hardly ever get rejected on other networks. I recently wasted about two hours trying to get accepted for a program by phoning and emailing OMG to no avail. Ah well, their loss as we're pushing the same program on another network.

I don't want to mention other YPN providers in the OMG section of these forums, but there are other companies in the UK who you may have to approach if you've been rejected twice.

Yep, I'll just have to go with another provider - would you be kind enough to PM me the company you were thinking of please? I've had a PM from another member who can do a direct feed it seems, but I'd still be interesting in seeing it if it's part of a network I'm already a member of.

    Hi Ian,

I appreciate this might be "too little too late" but I'd be really keen to look into your applications with us, with a view to getting this approved.

OMG does have fairly stringent application criteria for both joining our netowrk and joining the programmes that we offer, as we feel that quality in both our merchants and affiliates is key to maintaining successful programmes.

However, any rejection is usually very easily rectified, as a small change (in Yahoo!'s case adding a privacy policy or about us page) can be enough, so I'm more than happy to work with you to get this done.

All I need to know is your account name or ID - you can PM me or email me directly at carla.arrindell@onlinemediagroup.co.uk.

I hope to hear from you soon,

I was told that if you were with miva then you couldn't use yahoo publisher. I'd much prefer to use yahoo than miva.

    Hi gunneradt,

The Yahoo! programme's approval criteria does stipulate that an affiliate's site must not have content from any other paid search provider eg Miva, Google ads or Mirago.

This does mean that Yahoo! and MIVA cannot be promoted in conjunction but in your situation you are able to stop promoting MIVA and apply to join the Yahoo! campaign. Full terms and conditions around joining the programme can be found in your log in.

    I hope this helps,

    Best regards,
