I’m pleased to announce WHSmith will move onto the OMG Network. Please do not hesitate to contact us directly on 01603 697711 with any queries, or alternatively your OMG Account Manager.

We anticipate this program will be live with OMG shortly and a member of the Publisher team will be in contact as soon as this is confirmed, to make sure you have everything you need.

If you’re an affiliate new to OMG and do not have an account with OMG, please call us to sign up. If you’re an existing affiliate, please request to join the WHSmith program by logging in, selecting all programs and searching for WHSmith.

So what system do you have in place to stop them doing a rapid runner again?

OK - I'm not sure who screwed up on this one, whether it was TD, WH Smith or OMG but either way to me all three currently smell not unlike the material effused from the back end of a cow.

This has been terribly handled -

a) who on God's earth thought it was a good idea to change affiliate network 3 weeks before Christmas - this shows zero respect for your affiliates
b) why could the TD tracking not be left in place for 30 days - don't give us any technical bulls*it because there is no technical reason why it could not be left in place
c) why not give 30 days notice of your intention to move to another network - don't you think that would have made good business sense.
d) Why could the announcement on Friday not have said you were going to go to OMG - to fail to do so means that many affiliates will have now have had to do work twice, once to remove your TD links and once to put in the new links for OMG when it could all have been done in one go, so please can we have the address at WH Smith we should all send our invoices to for the time for the extra work involved.
e) W H Smith should undoubtedly pay compensation to their affiliates over this - to do any less is 100% unacceptable in my book

Whilst also agreeing with DrivetoWin, this is a key question. Will someone at OMG publicly let the forum know what safeguards are in place to stop WH Smith doing the same last minute dash again ?

Hi All,

There are a number of points that have been raised here and you will see from the TD response to drivetowin in this thread WHSmith Christmas cheer that some further detail on the current situation has been provided.

I can confirm that OMG have measures in place to ensure that this does not happen again now that we are going to be working with WHSmith. Our contractual agreement with WHSmith covers all campaign and commission related changes and the notice required on these from and to all parties.

We are waiting to receive responses from WHSmith about the specific questions raised by drivetowin and other affiliates, which we will share with you as soon as we have them.

With regards to the campaign sign up situation, OMG’s tracking is being integrated at the moment into the new platform as mentioned in the above thread, once this is complete we will be live on that day.

We fully understand your frustrations on this and if you have any further questions please let me know.

We are pleased to confirm the WHSmith affiliate campaign has launched exclusively on the OMG network. As an incentive at launch with OMG, WHSmith will be paying 8% of the order value on validated transactions until 31st January 2008.
