‘Switch with Which’ is a service from Which? created to bring clarity and impartiality to an essential utility provision that affects every household.

Which? is an independent organisation devoted solely to serving and promoting the interests of the consumer and they display all tariffs and pricing from direct domestic energy suppliers.

Switch with Which is offering the following commissions on single and dual fuel validated leads:

Single Fuel*Commission
0-20 leads = £2.50
21 or more leads = £3.50

Dual Fuel**Commission
0-20 leads = £2.50
21 or more leads = £4.50

* Single switch is equal to one energy product switch e.g. just gas switch
**Dual switch is equal to more than one energy product switch e.g. Gas and Electricity combined

Can you confirm what they mean by a validated lead - if they actually mean a switch then at those commission rates they must be joking.

For clarification, the Switch with Which program pays out on a lead basis. By 'validated lead', we mean an application to switch that contains valid information.

As we run the USwitch program as well, which pays out on the same basis, we are well aware of the differences in commissions between the two, but the Switch with Which program will be looking to increase lead commissions once it has settled in.

Not wanting to give you a hard time on this one though there are so many 'lead' programs that actually end up being really per sale.

A few questions :

The client will pay per lead, being an application that contains valid information.

So. Is there a de-duping process ? If so, how long is considered before an application is a new enquiry and paid for ?

If the application say has email & telephone fields and the client doesn't enter an email though contactable by phone, is this 'valid' info, or will there be a cancelation to the affiliate on this one ?

Does the applicant actually need to be contacted before verification ? If so, how many days before lead is considered dead ?

Again, not suggesting in anyway this is a bad program, just it is always nice to really iron out exactly what is and isn't payed for as there are other longer standing, seemingly better payed programs out there. I also find that a lot of new programs (that I am interested in) are rarely road tested by networks these days so it would be great to completely understand the life-cycle of a switch payout from this merchant

Dear Affiliates

Just to confirm a validated lead is a lead that has passed the validation process via the Switch with Which web site, meaning that customer details and supplier information is correct and can be passed through to the supplier to action.

These requested leads are not sales or validated sales as the customer can still cancel and change supplier half way through the process.

Unlike other programs in this sector affiliates should see the benefits Switch with Which as validation is immediate as there is no month long process or deletion of sales.

We are aware that the commission offering does not look as exciting as Uswitch but being a new program to the affiliate arena the client is aware that there are areas that will be improved as the program develops and welcomes the current affiliate feedback.
