Simple Cover Update
Since its exclusive launch with OMG in October Simple Cover, the low cost car insurance product from Norwich Union, has gone from strength to strength. From 1st February to 31st March the commission for Simple Cover will be moving to a flat rate of £65 per sale.
In December the EPC for Simple Cover was £4.46 from a fantastic Conversion Rate of 5.95%, and with competitive commissions currently and in February and March this is going to continue as a great revenue earning opportunity so if you are not already signed up log in to your account at

Norwich Union Direct Car Insurance Launch Win a Mini Competition & TV activity in January
Norwich Union Direct Car Insurance have launched a range of new initiatives for 2007 focusing on what their policies offer their customers such as child seat replacements to Guaranteed No Claims discount. As well as this NUD Car Insurance have launched a fantastic “Win a Mini” competition where new and renewing customers have the chance to win one of 14 mini coopers (1 a week for 14 weeks from the start)
There are 2 new sets of creative & editorial in your accounts to promote these initiatives as well as the “Save 10%” message that is still running online, and with the opportunity to earn up to £45 per sale with the below commission structure this is really strong product to be promoting:

Norwich Union Direct Home Insurance Launch £60 Cash Back offer & TV activity in January
Norwich Union Direct Home Insurance are now offering customers £60 cash back if they cannot beat the renewal quote when customers switch their Buildings and Contents insurance to Norwich Union. This strong consumer offer is being backed by TV advertising and sponsorship across January.

Norwich Union Life Insurance
Due to its success in 2006 the Life Insurance advertising campaign, starring Ross Kemp, will continue and be further developed throughout 2007. Ross Kemp was chosen for his on screen presence and because he is seen as an authentic ‘man of the people’ with credibility that our target audience would respond to. He is also somebody that people would not necessarily associate with, or expect to have life insurance and this helps to make our campaign memorable.
The brand ad will be played out on ITV Anglia and ITV Yorkshire Tyne Tees during peak airtime and the DRTV ad will run across all the stations nationally.
Currently customers recieve £15 M&S vouchers when they take out a Norwich Union Direct Life Insurance policy and affiliates can earn up to £55 per sale with the below commission structure:

RAC TV activity in January
RAC UK are running heavy weight TV activity in January for both rescue and car insurance to support their new “RAC to the rescue” strap line. Look out for hard men Vinnie Jones and Lennox Lewis as the new face’s of RAC to the rescue. Both these adverts will be aired across all major networks. RAC also have large press, directories, radio and DM campaigns going on throughout Q1to help improve brand recognition and drive people to the web.

Great start to the year for RAC Car Insurance. Only a couple of weeks in, RAC Car Insurance has been aggressively marketing itself as a leading car insurance brand. With the new strapline of ‘RAC To The Rescue’ the RAC brand is moving to an exciting place in 2007.
In recognition of the important part affiliates will play in our online plan we are delighted to announce the following developments.
- Quote to Sale conversion rate for non- aggregator online business improved by 20% in December.
- New Affiliate landing page due in the next week, removal of phone number on landing page and limited leakage opportunities.
- New ‘affiliate only’ banner due in the next couple of weeks. Targeting the female segment, a segment that converts at a higher rate.
- New suite of ‘animal’ creatives. Already these have an improved click through rate compared to the motorquoter ads and are available for affiliate use.
- Suite of Lennox Lewis ads coming soon to support the TV campaign.
- Earn up to £70 per sale (minimum £50).
